Apple Cake With Icing Recipe - Cooking Index
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Eggs (large) |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Oil |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Soda |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 cup | 237ml | Pecans |
3 cups | 438g / 15oz | Cored - peeled, diced apples |
4 oz | 113g | Margarine - (1 cube) |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk |
Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into 9 x 13-inch oblong pan. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean when inserted in center of cake. Cook icing ingredients in small saucepan 2 1/2 minutes and pour over warm cake.
