Tomato And Green-Onion Salad Citronette Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice - fresh |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Mustard - powdered |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Black pepper - freshly ground |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Thyme |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | E tomato - cut in 6 slices (large) |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Green onion - chopped |
In a bowl combine the lemon juice, water, mustard, pepper, and thyme to make the Citronette Dressing.
Set aside. Arrange 3 tomato slices on each plate and sprinkle with the green onions.
Pour on the Citronette dressing and serve.
NOTE: Citronette comes from the French "citron," meaning lemon; Vinaigrette comes from the French "Vinaigre" for vinegar.
VARIATION: Try lime juice in place of the lemon for a very summery taste.
