Shark Hors D'oeuvres

Recipe Ingredients

1/4 cup 59mlLemon or lime juice
1/4 cup 59mlDry white wine
2   Garlic - crushed
2 lbs 908g / 32ozShark meat - 2" chunks
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozFlour - all-purpose, seasoned
  Salt to taste
  Pepper to taste
2   Eggs - beaten
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozBread crumbs
  Vegetable oil
  Creole mustard/tartar sauce

Recipe Instructions

1. Mix lemon juice, wine and garlic; add shark and marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour or longer.

2. Dip each fish chunk in seasoned flour, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then coat with beaten eggs and bread crumbs.

3. Heat oil; deep-fry fish until golden brown.

4. Drain on paper towels, then serve with Creole mustard or tartar sauce.
