Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozShrimp - chicken, or crawfish
1   Oleo
1   Onion - chopped (large)
1   Celery - chopped
3   Water
1 tablespoon 15mlGreen onions
2   Tomatoes
2 cups 474mlOkra - cut up
2 tablespoons 30mlOil
4 tablespoons 60mlFlour
1 tablespoon 15mlBell pepper - chopped (large)
2   Garlic - chopped
4 tablespoons 60mlWorcestershire sauce

Recipe Instructions

Fry fresh okra in oil; do not burn. add oleo and flour. Make roux.

Add onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until soft. Add water and Worcestershire sauce.

Add the tomatoes. Cook for 1-2 hrs. Add the meat of your choice. Let simmer for 30 min. Serve with rice.
