2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Shrimp - chicken, or crawfish |

1 | Onion - chopped (large) | |
1 | Celery - chopped | |
3 | Water | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Green onions |
2 | Tomatoes | |
2 cups | 474ml | Okra - cut up |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Flour |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Bell pepper - chopped (large) |
2 | Garlic - chopped | |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Worcestershire sauce |
Fry fresh okra in oil; do not burn. add oleo and flour. Make roux.
Add onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until soft. Add water and Worcestershire sauce.
Add the tomatoes. Cook for 1-2 hrs. Add the meat of your choice. Let simmer for 30 min. Serve with rice.
