Barbecue Sauce Au Justin Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Onion - chopped |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Wine vinegar |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Bell pepper - chopped |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Louisiana hot sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Garlic - chopped |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Dry red wine |
2 cups | 474ml | Ketchup |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Celery seed |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parsley - dried |
1 cup | 237ml | Steak sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
Saute onions and bell pepper in olive oil. Add garlic, wine and the rest of the ingredients.
Bring to a boil. Cover, then cook over a low fire for at least 2 hours.
Use on finished barbecue, NOT AS A BASTING SAUCE.
This is garontee to warm the belly.
