Philadelphia Cheese Steak Sandwich (Lower Fat)

Recipe Ingredients

  Nonstick butter-flavored cooking spray
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozThinly sliced onion rings
1/2 cup 118mlThinly sliced green bell pepper
1/2 cup 118mlThinly sliced red bell pepper
12 oz 340gSwanky flanky steak - very thinly sliced
4   French or hoagie-style rolls - halved lengthwise
4 oz 113gReduced-fat cheddar or muenster cheese - thinly sliced

Recipe Instructions

Coat nonstick medium skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell peppers.

Cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes, adding a little water from time to time to prevent sticking and over-browning.

Preheat broiler. Divide sliced flank steak over opened rolls.

Cover with onion mixture. Top with cheese. Broil, close to heat source, 1 minute or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
