2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cooking oil |
1 1/2 cups | 165g / 5.8oz | Chopped celery |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
6 oz | 170g | Tomato paste - (1 can) |
2 1/4 cups | 533ml | Water - (3 cans) |
2 cups | 474ml | Uncooked noodles |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Diced American cheese |
1 cup | 237ml | Sliced ripe olives |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
Brown meat in oil in electric skillet or large frying-pan.
Add celery and onion; cover and cook slowly 10 minutes.
Add tomato paste, water, noodles, cheese, olives, salt and pepper; stir to combine.
Cook slowly until noodles are tender, about 30 minutes.
NOTE: This is just as good on the second day.
