Green Beans 'n' Burger Bake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Lean ground beef |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Onion - chopped (medium) |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Cooked rice |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cut green beans - drained |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Chopped pimento |
10 3/4 oz | 305g | Cream of celery soup |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
Crumble beef into heated skillet. Add onion. Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until meat loses red color. Drain off grease.
Add garlic salt, pepper, rice and one-half cup of the cheese. Turn mixture into greased, shallow 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle beans and pimento on top. Combine soup, mayonnaise, milk and lemon juice. Mix until smooth. Pour soup mixture over beans.
Sprinkle remaining one- half cup cheese on top. Bake, uncovered, in oven preheated to 350F for 30 minutes.
