16 oz | 454g | Kidney beans |
16 oz | 454g | Pinto beans |
16 oz | 454g | Green beans |
16 oz | 454g | Butter beans |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Brown sugar |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Chili sauce |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Mr. Brown - chopped |
1/4 cup | 59ml | BBQ sauce - optional |
1/8 cup | 29ml | Hot sauce - optional |
Partially fry up the bacon and reserve 2 Tbs. of the drippings and saute the chopped onion and green pepper.
Add the rest of the ingredients to a large pot and mix well, being careful not to smash the beans.
Cover the pot and simmer slowly for approximately one hour, stirring occasionally.
