Gorditas Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Corn masa |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Baking soda |
2 cups | 474ml | Hot water |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Pork skin |
1 cup | 237ml | Mexican sauce |
1/2 | Onion chopped | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Oil |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Refried beans |
1. Mix in a bowl masa, salt and baking soda.
2. Then pour slowly hot water, till make a soft mixture.
3. Make balls of 3 inches, then flat them.
4. Put them in a hot comal till they are brown.
5. In a pan with oil fry onion and pork skins.
6. Pour the Mexican sauce and boil it.
7. Fill the Gorditas with beans and pork skins cooked.
8. Enjoy them - serves 6.
