Nuevo Frijoles

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozDried pinto beans - soaked for 8-12 hrs.
1 tablespoon 15mlOlive oil
1 tablespoon 15mlMexican oregano dried
1 oz 28gChopped block olives
1 oz 28gChopped green Spanish olives
1 teaspoon 5mlGround cumin
1 teaspoon 5mlMarjoram
1 tablespoon 15mlChopped pimientos

Recipe Instructions

Bring beans to a boil in water just covering them.

Add the olive oil when the water starts to boil.

Cook for 15 minutes then add the balance of the ingredients.

Cook for 30 minutes more. Stir occasionally but be sure cover them while they cook.
