Hot Pepper Green Beans

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozFresh green beans - stemmed
4   Garlic cloves - minced
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozChopped green scallions
2   Fresh chilies - seeded and
  Finely chopped
1 tablespoon 15mlFermented black beans - -rinsed
3 tablespoons 45mlRice vinegar
2 tablespoons 30mlTamari
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlCornstarch
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar
2 tablespoons 30mlRice wine
3 tablespoons 45mlPeanut oil

Recipe Instructions

Blanch green beans for 2 minutes. In a small bowl, combine garlic, scallions, chilies, beans.

In another small bowl, combine vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar and wine.

Heat oil in a wok, add bean mixture and stir-fry for a minute. Add green beans and stir-fry for 5 minutes.

Mix in the rest of the ingredients and stir-fry long enough just to coat the beans.
