Hot Pepper Green Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Fresh green beans - stemmed |
4 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped green scallions |
2 | Fresh chilies - seeded and | |

1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fermented black beans - -rinsed |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Rice vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Tamari |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Cornstarch |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Rice wine |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Peanut oil |
Blanch green beans for 2 minutes. In a small bowl, combine garlic, scallions, chilies, beans.
In another small bowl, combine vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar and wine.
Heat oil in a wok, add bean mixture and stir-fry for a minute. Add green beans and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
Mix in the rest of the ingredients and stir-fry long enough just to coat the beans.
