Frijoles Refritos (Refried Beans) - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Cooked beans |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Lard or bacon drippings |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated longhorn cheese |
Heat lard or bacon drippings in frying pan or saucepan. Add beans, mash and simmer for 5 minutes. Top with cheese and serve when melted.
NOTE: this along with green chile and/or salsa is a great burrito filling.
