Water | ||
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Bacon - cut into pieces |
1/2 | Onion - cut into pieces | |
2 | Garlic | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 8g / 0.3oz | Cilantro - chopped |
Wash beans. Heat water to boiling in medium sauce pan, add beans. Cook, adding water as necessary, for one hour. Add bacon, garlic, onion, and salt. Continue to cook at a low boil for 1 1/2 hours. Add cilantro during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
