Fried Brussels Sprouts Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Brussels sprouts - cleaned |
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Dry bread crumbs |
1 | Egg - beaten | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Milk |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
Salt - to taste |
Cook sprouts until just tender in boiling salted water (10 to 15 minutes).
Take care not to overcook; very tender sprouts may be done in less time. Drain, roll in bread crumbs, dip in beaten egg, and roll in bread crumbs again.
Fry until brown in olive oil heated to the verge of smoking. Drain on paper and serve.
