1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Dry mustard |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Flour |
Add | ||
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Seedless raisins |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
1 3/4 cups | 414ml | Water |
Cook slowly to a syrup
This is "The" classic raisin sauce. So very simple. So very Good!
Mom used it for the 30's, 40's,50's and the 60's. I've used this recipe professionally and at home for 4 decades. "Only compliments!"

P.S. I use Heinz White (apple cider and even a good red wine vinegar works).
