Marinara Sauce - 4

Recipe Ingredients

1   Tomato juice - (46-oz)
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlOregano
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozFresh mushrooms - sliced
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozGreen pepper - chopped fine
1   Garlic - chopped
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozRed pepper - chopped fine
1   Bay leaf
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozOnion - chopped fine
1 teaspoon 5mlDried whole basil

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven, simmer, uncovered for 45 minutes. Remove bay leaf.

Serve over spaghetti, rice, or noodles or as a topper for potatoes.
