Marinara Sauce - 4 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Tomato juice - (46-oz) | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Oregano |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Fresh mushrooms - sliced |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Green pepper - chopped fine |
1 | Garlic - chopped | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Red pepper - chopped fine |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - chopped fine |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried whole basil |
Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven, simmer, uncovered for 45 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
Serve over spaghetti, rice, or noodles or as a topper for potatoes.
