Hot And Spicy Chili Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
5 lbs | 2270g / 80oz | Ripe tomatoes |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Onions (medium) |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne pepper* |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground ginger |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground nutmeg |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Curry powder |
* adjust the amount of cayenne or other chile powder to suit your personal heat level.
Chop vegetables, add remaining ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour or a little more until thick.
Put into blender and process until smooth. Return to pot and bring to a boil.
Bottle in sterilized jars. Place in boiling water canner for 10 minutes.
