Green Onion Confetti Topping Recipe - Cooking Index
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced peeled gingerroot |
2 1/2 cups | 156g / 5.5oz | Sliced green onions - (1-3 medium) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Reduced-sodium soy sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 | Ground red pepper | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lime juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped fresh cilantro |
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add gingerroot; saute 30 seconds. Add green onions; saute1 minute. Add water and next 3 ingredients; saute 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients. Yield: 1 cup (serving size: 2 tablespoons).
