2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped California dried figs |
1 | Apple - peeled and diced | |
1 | Lemon - sliced paper-thin | |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Molasses |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cloves |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cinnamon |
In large sauce pan, combine dried figs and apple. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered 30 minutes. Makes about 4 cups. Serve as an accompaniment to pork, lamb, or chicken.
