Garlic And Herb Pasta Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | All-purpose flour |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk - scalded |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Water |
Salt | ||
Black pepper | ||
3 | Garlic - finely minced | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Parmesan cheese - grated |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Parsley |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Oregano |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Rosemary |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Basil |
Melt butter over low heat. Saute garlic for 1 minute. Whisk flour in gradually.
Cook one minute more, whisking constantly. Slowly add milk and water, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
Continue to cook and stir until sauce just boils. Add herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
