Bechamel Sauce - Microwave Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Unsalted butter |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | All-purpose flour |

1 | Tabasco sauce | |
1 cup | 237ml | Half and half |

Fresh chives - chopped |
Microwave butter in a medium microwave safe bowl, covered with plastic wrap, on high power until butter is melted, about 1 minute.
Stir in flour, salt and Tabasco sauce until smooth. Gradually pour in Half and Half, whisking until smooth.
Microwave, covered with plastic wrap, on high for 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Microwave for 2 minutes longer. Serve warm.
Garnish with chopped chives.
Makes 1-1/4 cups.
