Beer Mop Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
12 oz | 340g | Beer |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Oil - canola or corn |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Onion - chopped (medium) |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mansion barbecue spice mix |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Apply the sauce with a small string "mop" for barbecue, or with a pastry brush.
Variations: Substitute stock for the beer, or inexpensive dry wine (red for the meat or white for the poultry or fish).
Yield: 2 to 3 cups
