Aioli Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Egg yolk | |
5 | Garlic - crushed, cloves | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Mustard - prepared |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
Separate yolks and whisk yolks with mustard and garlic in a bowl. Add oil drop by drop, beating continuously until half of oil is used. Add lemon juice a little at a time and remaining oil still beating. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve as dip for shrimp or sauce over fish such as sole, flounder, or halibut. Chill.
