Pork Satay - 3 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Pork - cut in cubes |
Marinade | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Dark brown sugar |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Dark molasses |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground ginger - up to 1/2 |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground coriander |
1 | Garlic - crushed |
Mix ingredients for marinade. Heat if necessary to dissolve the sugar.
Marinate the pork, preferably overnight or as long as possible.
Thread 3 or 4 pieces of meat on each skewer.
Grill in broiler or over hot coals until insides are no longer pink. Delicious with peanut butter sauce.
Will serve 4 as a starter.
Boneless chicken can be substituted for pork as a variation.
