Banzai Peanut Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Melted butter or peanut oil |
3 | Jalapeno - serrano or Thai peppers, seeded, minced | |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Coconut milk |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Unsalted smooth peanut butte |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lime juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sesame oil 1 |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Honey |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Habanero sauce or favorite red hot pepper sauce |
In a saucepan, add the melted butter, chili peppers and garlic, and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in the coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, honey and habanero sauce, and bring to a simmer.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
Serve with grilled chicken, fish or lamb, or serve as a vegetable dip.
