Spicy Beef Pitas

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozThinly sliced cooked - roast beef
1/2 cup 118mlPicante sauce
1/3 cup 78mlRed-wine vinegar
1/4 cup 59mlOlive oil
1 tablespoon 15mlSnipped fresh cilantro
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlGarlic powder
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlCracked black pepper
4 teaspoons 20mlPita bread rounds (large)
  Chopped tomato
  Chopped avocado
  Chopped green pepper
  Feta cheese

Recipe Instructions

Place sliced beef in a plastic bag set inside a bowl.

For marinade: In a medium bowl, combine picante vinegar, oil, cilantro, garlic, pepper.

Pour marinade over beef. Seal bag; marinate in the refrigerator for 4-24 hours, turning bag occasionally.

To serve, drain and discard the marinade. fill each pita half with beef.

Top with chopped vegetables and feta cheese.
