6 cups | 1422ml | Sliced, peeled tart apples |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Seedless raisins |
2 | Tbsp. Orange juice | |
4 | Tbsp. Butter or margarine |
Orange Frosting:
Mix together 1 cup confectioners sugar, 3 tbsp. strained fresh orange juice and 1 tsp. graded orange peel.
Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon, apples and raisins and place in pastry-lined 9" pie pan. Sprinkle the filling with orange juice and dot with butter. Cover with top crust, and flute edges; cut vents.
Bake in hot oven (400F degrees) about 40 minutes, or until crust is browned and apples are tender. Spread Orange Frosting over hot pie.
