Banana Salsa - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Bananas (large) | |
1/4 cup | 4g / 0.1oz | Chopped cilantro leaves |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Diced red bell pepper |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Fresh lime juice |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Diced green bell pepper |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Packed light brown sugar |
2 | Jalapenos - seeded and minced | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cardamom |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh ginger - minced |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
3 | Scallions - trimmed and finely chopped | |
Salt and pepper - to taste |
Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl, and gently toss to mix. Correct the seasonings, adding salt, lime juice, or sugar, to taste. The salsa should be a little sweet and a little sour. Best when served a couple hours after making. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
