Chimayo Chile Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
6 | Chimayo chiles - seeded and stemmed | |
1/2 | Yellow onion - sliced (medium) | |
2 | Garlic | |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
1 | Bay leaf | |
Salt to taste |
Combine all ingredients except salt in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and blend until very smooth adding water if necessary. Salt to taste. Strain through fine mesh strainer.
Yield: 6 servings
