Texas Style Coleslaw Recipe - Cooking Index
A twist on coleslaw that is perfect with barbeque.
Courses: Salads6 cups | 1422ml | Green cabbage - grated |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Green bell pepper - chopped (large) |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Red bell pepper - chopped (large) |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Fresh coriander - chopped |
1 cup | 237ml | Garlic clove - mashed (large) |
1 | Jalapeno pepper - chopped | |
1 | Onion - chopped | |
1 cup | 237ml | Olive oil - or corn oil |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Red wine vinegar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
Salt and pepper - to taste |
Grate cabbage. Chop bell peppers and coriander. Mix together.
Make dressing by combining the remaining ingredients.
Toss with cabbage mixture and allow to stand for one hour before serving.
