Sweetheart Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sour cream |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Red delicious apple - chopped |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Lemon juice |
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Cooked or canned beets - chopped |
6 | Iceberg lettuce slices | |
6 | Red pepper rings - cut in half |
Combine mayonnaise and sour cream; mix well. Toss apple with lemon juice.
Add mayonnaise mixture and beets; mix lightly. Chill.
For each serving, place 1/2 cup salad on lettuce slice.
Surround with 2 half-slices of red pepper, molding the salad o form a heart shape
