Sweet And Sour Slaw

Recipe Ingredients

  Slaw
1   Red cabbage head - shredded
1   White cabbage head - shredded
3 cups 187g / 6.6ozRed onion slices - in rings
3 cups 711mlGreen bell peppers - sliced
14 oz 397gGolden raisins (1 box)
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozSugar - up to 2 cups
  Dressing
2 tablespoons 30mlSugar
2 teaspoons 10mlDry mustard
2 teaspoons 10mlCelery seed
1 teaspoon 5mlMustard seed
2 tablespoons 30mlSalt
2 cups 474mlRed wine vinegar
1 1/2 cups 355mlOlive oil

Recipe Instructions

SLAW: Shred cabbage. Layer cabbage with onion slices, green pepper slices and raisins. Sprinkle sugar over all; set aside.

DRESSING: In a saucepan, combine sugar, dry mustard, celery seed, mustard seed, vinegar and olive oil; bring to boil.

Cool.

Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and toss lightly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir and serve.
