3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Red onion slices - in rings |
3 cups | 711ml | Green bell peppers - sliced |
14 oz | 397g | Golden raisins (1 box) |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar - up to 2 cups |
Dressing | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dry mustard |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Celery seed |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Mustard seed |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Salt |
2 cups | 474ml | Red wine vinegar |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Olive oil |
SLAW: Shred cabbage. Layer cabbage with onion slices, green pepper slices and raisins. Sprinkle sugar over all; set aside.
DRESSING: In a saucepan, combine sugar, dry mustard, celery seed, mustard seed, vinegar and olive oil; bring to boil.
Cool.
Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and toss lightly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir and serve.
