Oriental Cabbage Slaw Recipe - Cooking Index
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cucumber - halved lengthwise, (medium) thinly, sliced |
1 cup | 237ml | Fresh pea pods - halved |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Rice vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salad oil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Toasted sesame oil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sugar |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red chili paste - (optional) |
4 cups | 948ml | Napa cabbage - shredded |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Honey-roasted peanuts - coarsely chopped |
In a large mixing bowl combine cucumber and pea pods.
For dressing, in a small mixing bowl stir together vinegar, salad oil, sesame oil, sugar, salt and red chili paste, if desired
Pour over cucumber and pea pods, stirring to coat.
Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours. Just before serving, stir in cabbage and peanuts
