2 cups | 474ml | Boiling water-divided |
1 | Lemon Jell | |
2 cups | 474ml | Ice cubes - divided |
1 | Orange Jell-O | |
1 | Crushed pineapple* | |
2 cups | 474ml | Min. Marshmallows |
3 | Bananas sliced | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Fine shredded cheddar cheese |
Cooked Salad Dressing | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Reserved pineapple juice |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
Egg - beaten | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Oleo |
1 cup | 237ml | Whipping cream |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch |
*liquid drained * reserved.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 c water and lemon Jell-O.
Add 1 c ice cubes, stirring until melted.
Add pineapple. Pour into a 13"x9"x2" baking pan. refrigerate until set.
Repeat with orange Jell-O, with remaining ice and water. Stir in marshmallows. Pour over lemon layer; refrigerate until set.
For dressing, combine pineapple juice, sugar egg, cornstarch and butter in a pan.
Cook over med heat stirring constantly until thick. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Next day, arrange bananas with whipped cream over Jell-O.
Combine dressing with whipped cream; spread over bananas.
Sprinkle with cheese.
