Marinated Slaw - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index
8 cups | 1896ml | Cabbage - shredded |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Pimientos - chopped |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Green pepper - chopped |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Onion - chopped |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Vinegar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Mustard seed |
In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, pimientos, green pepper and onion.
Toss lightly; set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened. Pour over cabbage mixture.
Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Slaw will keep in the refrigerator for several days.
