Mandarin Chicken Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Sliced almonds |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Sugar |
4 | Bibb lettuce - torn into bite size pieces | |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Chicken - cut-up cooked |
2 | Celery - chopped | |
2 | Green onions (with tops) - thinly sliced | |
1 | Mandarin oranges - drained | |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Oil and vinegar dressing |
Cook almonds and sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and almonds are coated.
Cool and break apart. Cover and store at room temperature up to 24 hours.
Mix lettuce, chicken, celery and onions.
Toss with orange segments, dressing and almonds.
