Macaroni Shell Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
8 | Small shell macaroni | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sour cream |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Half-and-half |
1/2 | Salt | |
1/4 | Pepper | |
1/4 | Oregano | |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Celery - chopped |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Carrot - shredded |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Green pepper - chopped |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Red pepper - chopped |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Red onion - chopped |
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain again.
Combine mayo, sour cream, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl; stir until smooth.
Add macaroni and remaining ingredients; toss lightly until well coated. Chill 2 hours.
If desired add 1/4 cup green olives and/or garbanzo beans.
I like to add 1 tbs honey mustard.
