Macaroni Salad (Like Bonanza Restaurant) Recipe - Cooking Index
6 oz | 170g | Elbow macaroni - cooked, cooled |
1/2 | Celery - chopped | |
1/2 | Green pepper - chopped | |
2 | Boiled eggs - chopped | |
Kraft mayonnaise to moisten |
Mix all ingredients and chill.
Cook macaroni in lightly salted water according to package directions for al dente. Drain and rinse briefly under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Place in bowl and add the celery, peppers, onions, salt and pepper; toss well to combine. Add the mustard and toss again.
Add the mayonnaise, starting with a little less and adding more as desired. It is best if salad sets for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer, to allow the flavors to blend.
It is best served at room temperature but many people prefer it chilled.
