Poppy Seed Dressing | ||
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - chopped |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Tarragon vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
2 1/2 tablespoons | 37ml | Poppy seeds |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Oil, vegetable |
Combine mandarin oranges, grapefruit sections, and lettuce in a large salad bowl; toss lightly.
Serve with Poppy Seed Dressing.
Poppy Seed Dressing: Combine first 7 ingredients in container of electric blender; blend well. Slowly add 3/4 cup vegetable oil, continuing to blend until thick.
Pour into a jar with a tight-fitting lid, and chill.
Shake well before serving.
Yield: 2 cups
