Iowa Thunder and Lightning Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 cups | 474ml | Cabbage - shredded |
| 5 cups | 312g / 11oz | Tomatoes - chopped (medium) |
| 1 | Hot pepper (optional) | |
| 1 | Onion - sliced (large) | |
| 2 | Cucumbers - sliced | |
| 2 | Bell peppers - cubed | |
| Dressing | ||
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
| 1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
| 1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Honey |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
Combine dressing ingredients and toss vegetables together.
Add dressing to vegetables. Mix well.
Place in an airtight container and chill 2 days before serving.
