Curried Apple Walnut Salad Recipe - Cooking Index

1 | Granny smith apple | |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Lemon juice |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Celery with leaves |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped walnuts |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Curry powder |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
Boston lettuce leaves |
Core, halve and cut each apple into 24 slices. Do not peel.
Combine apples and 1/2 cup Lemon juice in a bowl; toss well. Cover and chill.
Combine remaining lemon juice, celery, walnuts, salt, pepper, curry powder, water and oil in a bowl; stir well. Cover and chill.
To serve, line a large serving platter with lettuce; drain apples and arrange in individual servings on top of lettuce. Spoon celery mixture around apples
