Chili Rice Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Uncle Ben's fast cooking - Spanish rice | |
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Light red kidney beans - well |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Green pepper - chopped |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - finely shopped |
1 cup | 237ml | Salad oil |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot pepper sauce - (Tabasco) |
Prepare rice according to the instructions on the package, omitting the margarine.
Cool slightly.
Add beans, green peppers and onions.
Combine salad oil, vinegar, chili powder, and hot pepper sauce. Stir into the rice mixture.
Chill well before serving.
