Apple-Beet Salad - Southern-Style Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Apple - unpeeled shredded Or chopped - Granny Smith work well |
1 can | Whole beets - drained, shredded or | |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cooked beets - chopped |
3/4 cup | 82g / 2.9oz | Celery - sliced |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Honey |
Lettuce leaves | ||
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Walnuts - chopped, toasted |
Combine all ingredients except the lettuce leaves and walnuts, tossing gently. Spoon out each serving onto lettuce leaves and sprinkle with walnuts to serve.
