1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown Sugar |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped Walnuts |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Raisins |
3 cups | 711ml | Sliced Apples |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter, softened |
2/3 cup | 132g / 4.7oz | Sugar |
4 | Ts Baking Powder | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Flour |
Preheat oven 350 deg F. Sprinkle half the brown sugar, nuts, and raisins in the bottom of buttered baking dish. Layer in the sliced apples and the remaining brown sugar. Cream butter, gradulaay add the sugar, then add beaten egg. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Combine the creamed butter mix, dry ingredients and the milk and mix until smooth. Pour the batter over apples. Bake 35-40 minutes. Turn over on plate (with apple side up). Serve with whipped cream topping.
