Green Onion Biscuits (2 PTS ea)

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 125g / 4.4ozAll-purpose flour
2 teaspoons 10mlBaking powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlBaking soda
3 tablespoons 45mlVegetable shortening
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozGreen onions - finely chopped
1 cup 237mlButtermilk, lowfat

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 400. Combine 1st 4 ingredients in a large bowl. cut in

shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mix resembles coarse

meal. Stir in green onions. Add buttermilk, stir until just moist. Drop

batter by heaping tablespoons onto a baking sheet coated with Pam. Bake at

400 for 15 minutes or until brown.

You may substitute cheddar cheese for the green onions just don't forget to

change your selections or points.
