Green Onion Biscuits (2 PTS ea) Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Baking soda |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vegetable shortening |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Green onions - finely chopped |
1 cup | 237ml | Buttermilk, lowfat |
Preheat oven to 400. Combine 1st 4 ingredients in a large bowl. cut in
shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mix resembles coarse
meal. Stir in green onions. Add buttermilk, stir until just moist. Drop
batter by heaping tablespoons onto a baking sheet coated with Pam. Bake at
400 for 15 minutes or until brown.
You may substitute cheddar cheese for the green onions just don't forget to
change your selections or points.
