1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Distilled vinegar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Minced sweet onion |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Celery seed |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Celery salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Fresh ground black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Hot pepper sauce |
In a medium, glass or stainless steel bowl whisk together all the
ingredients until completely combined and the sugar dissolves. Cover and
refrigerate for at least one day to give the flavors time to blend. (Two
days is even better.)
Makes 8 servings
Good cocktail sauce is a MUST for shrimp - it almost MAKES the meal and
boiled shrimp without a good sauce is like a dance with no music! This is
one of my favorite sauces - I keep everything on hand to make this so that
I'm not caught 'dancing with no music!' *lol*
