Banana Nut Bread (5 PTS)

Flavorful and basic banana bread.

Serves: 12 people

Recipe Ingredients

1/3 cup 65g / 2.3ozButter
2/3 cup 106g / 3.7ozLight brown sugar
2 teaspoons 10mlVanilla
2   Eggs - well beaten
1 1/4 cups 296mlMashed bananas-ripe
1 3/4 cups 109g / 3.8ozWhite flour
2 1/4 teaspoons 11mlBaking powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozChopped nuts

Recipe Instructions

Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease a loaf pan. Cream together butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Gently fold in mashed bananas until well-mixed, then very gradually stir in mixed dry ingredients. Move quickly but add just a little at a time. Fold in nuts. Spread batter in loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour. Center will spring back to the touch, toothpick test will be clean and the bread will be pulled away from the sides of the pan.
