1 | Lemon rind - grated | |
1 | Orange rind - grated | |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Mixed dried fruit |
4 oz | 113g | Candied peel |
4 oz | 113g | Glace cherries |
4 oz | 113g | Dates - chopped |
2 oz | 56g | Flaked almonds |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Allspice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Powdered ginger |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Whisky or other liquid |
Mix all the ingredients together and let stand for 1 to 2 hours. Store in air-tight jars. Use as regular mincemeat.
