Toll House Chocolate Chip Pie Recipe - Cooking Index

1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar - firmly packed |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butter - * see note |
1 | Semisweet chocolate chips - (Nestle's) | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Walnuts - chopped |
1 | Pie shell - (unbaked) |
* melted and cooled to room temperature
Preheat oven to 325F. In large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended.
Blend in melted butter. Stir in semi-sweet chips and walnuts. Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 325F for 1 hour.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
Makes one pie.
If using frozen pie shell, only use deep dish style and thaw completely.
Place on cookie sheet; bake 10 minutes longer.
